2024-2025 KDM Building Goals
Building Goals
To standardize and enhance attendance practices across all elementary schools in Rockaway Township Public Schools, aiming to reduce chronic absenteeism. The goal will be measured by the implementation of six key indicators and will be evaluated for effectiveness based on the completion rate of these indicators.
Rationale: Post-COVID, schools across New Jersey have seen a significant rise in student absenteeism. Rockaway Township Public Schools are no exception, experiencing a notable increase in student absences in some buildings. This initiative and building goal aims to unify practices across all buildings to address chronic absenteeism, improve student attendance, and standardize response actions..
Administration, teachers and staff will utilize the i-Ready program for reading and/or mathematics to assist them in identifying student's needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year.
Rationale: i-Ready allows your teacher(s) to meet student(s) exactly where they are and provides data to increase your student's learning gains. i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic and Personalized Instruction. This student centered approach will provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all levels of learners.
